Those WODs were rough, but fun. Randall in KB class was encouraging us to test our limits too - I set some PRs in KB class Wednesday and indoor class Thursday.

I am definitely competing in the kettlebell challenge. I did the one last year, so it's time to put my skills to the test again! I didn't know about the Bettys on Boards challenge, but I'll probably sign up for that too. I volunteered for it last year and it looked like a blast. Where'd you see details - I haven't seen it on any of the CC websites.

I like beating myself up - I guess it's a Crossfit thing. After three days with the brace, my wrist is feeling better today. My knees on the other hand... well, let's just say I need to see Dave or Sam when my new insurance kicks in. :)

Thanks for the advice!

They haven't shown me any exercises, but the first time I visited, Dave told me not to crack my knuckles (although he demonstrated a way to pull them that isn't as bad.) And he said massaging the area was OK.
When I had tennis elbow a couple of years ago, my primary care doc told me to use a 1-pound weight to do these little wrist curls that would help the tendons. And I stopped typing and mousing frequently to down wrist stretches. The stretches and curls kind of look like the ones here: http://www.nismat.org/ptcor/tennis_elbow
I hope you feel better! It feels crippling when those wrists and forearms are beat up!

Oh, did Sam recommend any exercises that would strengthen the wrists to prevent further injury? Or is it just a "maintaining perfect form" thing?

Timely! I hurt my right wrist doing hang cleans on Thursday too. HSPUs didn't help either. I've been wearing a brace (which makes it a bitch to type/mouse) and icing.

I think this type of seminar would definitely benefit those outside Zach's Oly class. In fact, as we were working with her, Ursula made the comment that the girls who were there from his class didn't really need her.
Which wasn't true, of course ;), but there definitely were people there from outside his class.

I thought about going, but had other commitments that day. Do you think it was the kind of seminar that someone not currently in oly-specific training would benefit from? Zach's my indoor coach and I have kettlebell class at the same time as one of the oly classes, so I've absorbed a bit more oly technique that I might under other circumstances, but obviously I don't have the background that you and Zach's other oly students do.
