Tirades from a Tired Producer has been my blog since I was a very tired producer. From 2001 to 2003, I produced the morning newscast at WKRN-TV in Nashville, TN.
Things have changed now — a lot.
I’m now a proud mom, a business owner — running my own web design/development agency in Austin, TX. But I still love to tirade against what I think is wrong. Most of the time, however, I’m writing about what I love and experience here in Austin.
Austin is absolutely the best city to live in in the US. Probably the world, and there’s nothing I love more than getting outside and exploring this town. I also love working out and gardening, but I write about those interests in my other blogs: Standard Beagle, Red in the Face and Brummer Family.
I loved my time working as a news producer, and I would never trade in my years in the television news business. It helped sharpen my skills as a writer, exposed me to people and stories I might never have experienced and it helped shape the person I am.
But I’m very glad to be moving on into new and exciting challenges.
Won’t you please join me?
